I have ten years' experience delivering speech language assessment and therapy services directly to my clients exactly where it is most functional: at home!
Conveniently located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, I am able to travel to your home in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens for in-person, in-home services.
Function-based therapy can help you or your loved one's ability preserve or improve function during daily activities. Whether that is improved articulation, better language skills in school or work, improved voice, safer swallowing or reduced accent, my services are specifically tailored to address specifically what YOU want to work on.
My unique model uses the home or community environment to provide functional therapy, rather than in my office. We target what you want to be able to DO, where you want to do it. I will develop both an in-person and homework-based therapy program, and identify a target number of sessions BEFORE you start. We can always adjust, of course, but this approach allows us both to set expectations for length and intensity of therapy.

I provide a full range of SLP services across the lifespan. I treat articulation, language delays, fluency (stuttering) dysphagia (swallowing difficulties) aphasia, and neurodegenerative disorders.

Difficulty eating and swallowing has an enormous impact on quality of life, and can be frightening to confront. I have ten years experience treating both acquired dysphagia (difficulty eating) and congenital feeding disorders. I take a function-based approach that incorporates eating a least restrictive diet with as few diet modifications as possible using behavioral and postural modifications.

Articulation errors not only make it difficult for children be understood, it also impairs their ability to enagge in meaningful, reciprocal conversation with their peers. Intervention to speech sound production can improve your child's ability to be understood, to engage in learning and in play, and even reading. I use a tech-heavy approach that I've found engages kids where they are.

I treat children and young adults with language disorders. I start with a formal norm referenced, standardized assessment of their current language skills, and assess their academic performance. Together, we develop a plan for developing the skills that will help them the most.

Strokes present in a unique way to each person, and can often require treatment in speech, language AND swallowing. I help patients and their circles of care identify the areas of the most functional relevance to them, and develop a therapeutic approach that targets those needs. I also run an in-person monthly stroke recovery support group in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

Degenerative diseases of the brain and spinal column such as Parkison's Disease, ALS, Multiple Sclerosis and Alzheimer's disease require treatment that is based in preserving current function as well as realistic planning for the speech, communication and swallowing needs of the future. I am pleased to offer assessment, treatment and caregiver education for this population.

I do not take insurance plans, but I am happy to provide you with a SuperBill, which you can submit to your insurance as an out-of-network provider.
By not accepting insurance, I I am able to spend all of my time prepping for your session. Most families find that after the out-of-network contribution from their insurance, my services are comparable to their copays.
You are free to contact me directly for services. If your insurance requires a referral from your GP to cover out-of-network services, please contact them prior to initiating therapy.
I strictly limit my practice to 16 clients per week. This allows me to prep vigorously, travel to your appointment without rushing, and if need be, stay a few minutes after your appointment for questions. Because of my limited time slots, I sometimes have a waitlist, but I am very upfront without about how long you may expect to wait.
January 2024: I have several slots open for my after-school schedule this school term! Please contact me for details, I usually have a waiting list.
Please contact us directly with any questions, comments, or scheduling inquiries you may have.
